A Socially Responsible Firm

We Support the Communities in Which We Live and Conduct Business

Because of Emerald's diverse group of investment products and extensive research commitments we are a part of the communities in which we live. Since it's founding in 1991, Emerald has supported community initiatives, organizations and schools that provide much-needed services to area residents. A list of these organizations is provided below. In addition to the corporate sponsorships and participation in events, there are members of Team Emerald who actively work in their communities to make a difference.

Emerald's Founder and President, Joseph E. Besecker, leads the team in continuous support of the communities in which we live. Joe has not only served as a Board member for the Lancaster Boys & Girls Club, he has worked to create a social enterprise company to support the Club's programs and services. Joe founded Auction Inn, an eBay Marketing Service company headquartered in Lancaster, as a way of creating a job skills training program for members of the Boys & Girls Club as well as critical funding streams for programs and services. His commitment to social enterprise and fostering the potential of area youth is far-reaching and contagious. Members of Joe's team annually organize, participate in and support fundraising events for NEADS, the American Red Cross, and area Lions Clubs to name a few.
